A Note from Our Founder

Sometimes growth feels urgent. A quarter underperforms. Attention spikes. Investors ask questions. The instinct is to optimize for the next win and prove momentum quickly. But not every decision should be made for the next headline. Some decisions should be made for the next decade.

Transactional leadership chases validation. Generational leadership protects legacy. One builds for applause. The other builds for endurance. The strongest founders are willing to sacrifice short term optics to preserve long term integrity. They lose some customers. They lose some comfort. They sometimes lose approval. But they protect the mission.

Time horizon changes everything. What looks impressive today may look fragile in five years. What feels costly now may compound quietly over generations. The question is not whether you can win this quarter. It is whether you are building something that deserves to exist long after it stops trending.

How To: Find Your Secret Sauce

Jada Willis displayed signs of being an entrepreneur at a very young age. Her parents knew that not only would she be an entrepreneur, but she would also end up in HR. When she was nine, she started a Kool-Aid stand and eventually bought out the other lemonade stands in the neighborhood, hiring her friends as employees. This early experience laid the foundation for her future in HR.

Jada pursued her passion for HR by obtaining an undergraduate and master's degree in the field. She gained valuable experience working for Fortune 100 and 500 companies such as Target and Verizon. However, she always knew that her ultimate goal was to become a business owner.

In 2016, she took the leap and started her own HR consulting firm, Willis HR. Over the next six years, she served as the owner and CEO, building a successful company. In November 2022, she made the decision to sell her company, a significant achievement that she is proud of.

The decision to sell her company was not a surprise to Jada. She had always envisioned building her business to a point where she could exit and move on to new ventures. The timing felt right as her company had been named the best HR company in South Carolina and had experienced impressive year-over-year growth.

After selling her company, Jada took some time off before deciding to pivot and start Jada Willis Consulting. As a CEO mentor, she now helps other business owners and founders navigate the challenges of leadership and maximize their talent to achieve their goals.
