That idea you keep putting off isn't waiting for you. Every month you spend listing the ways it could fail is another month it doesn't exist. Playing it safe feels responsible, right up until you realize it's the riskiest thing you've done.

Lon White got paid to see disaster coming. For 25 years he was the person companies called when everything went wrong, and that same radar kept him from the big swing. Then his co-founder’s family lost $40,000 in a single night to online sweepstakes fraud. They went looking for something that could have stopped it and found nothing. So, they built Villari, a security layer that blocks scam links before a vulnerable loved one ever sees them.

Now Lon's facing a new kind of pressure: investors who want fast wins while he's building a long game, and he's choosing to stay picky anyway.

The risk you're avoiding is easy to see. The one you're taking by waiting isn't. Lon only moved when he finally put a number on the cost of doing nothing, so run that same math on the thing you keep putting off.

Every founder is placing a bet, even the ones who think they're standing still. Make sure yours is on purpose.

🎧 Listen now to hear how Lon is building for the long game without letting the pressure to move faster make the decision for him.

Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads

Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:

After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.

The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.

“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”

Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
